Why I Started a Fund

Christel Gerdel, who established the David Gerdel Memorial Scholarship Fund in memory of her husband: “It’s so rewarding to help a promising student succeed. You never want financial need to be the obstacle to a student’s success. My scholarship fund is named in memory of my late husband and every year I honor his memory by providing a scholarship in his name to a young person pursuing a degree in engineering. This is something David strongly believed in.”
